Ukrainian drones defeated the Belaya airfield.

New Planet Labs satellite images from Wednesday, June 4, show the aftermath of a drone attack on Russia's Belaya airfield in the Irkutsk region.

The fresh photos were published by Radio Liberty.

The satellite recorded damage to at least seven strategic bombers: three Tu-95s and four Tu-22s. The publication notes that the images also show the consequences of fires.

On June 1, the SBU conducted a large-scale operation to destroy Russian planes. According to NV sources, more than 40 planes that Russia used to attack Ukrainian cities were hit, including A-50s, Tu-95s and Tu-22M3s. Planes at Olenya and Belaya airfields were hit by drones that flew out of vans parked nearby.

The target of the operation were airfields on Russian territory: Olenya in Russia's Murmansk region, Belaya airfield in the Irkutsk region, Dyagilevo in the Ryazan region, and Ivanovo in the Ivanovo region. The strike on Belaya airbase was the first Ukrainian attack on facilities in Siberia since the beginning of Russia's war against Ukraine.

The operation was personally supervised by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, and implemented by the head of the SBU, Vasyl Malyuk, and the staff of the Service.
