What they say about queues at the Brest-Terespol border.

Journalists of BGmedia tell about the situation on the border between Belarus and Poland at the border crossing "Brest - Terespol" on the basis of information from border chats (spelling and punctuation corrected with preservation of meaning).

How many hours it takes to pass the border by car on May 28

On May 28, compared to the previous days, the car queue to leave Brest for Poland decreased. As of 18.00, 430 cars were registered in the electronic queue. And exactly two days ago, 660 cars were counted in the queue. This week the peak was on Sunday night: 900 cars.

This is what those who left Brest for Poland on May 28 wrote in chats:

"RB - RP. Time in ZO: 26 hours 1 minute. Registered in ZO: 27.05.2025 at 05.03 (number in queue: 651). Called out of the ZO: 28.05.2025 at 07.05. Time to passport control: 1 hour. Waiting time at the bridge (to the bridge + the bridge itself): 2 hours. Time to pass Poles: 1 hour. Total time to pass the border: 30 hours and 1 minute".

"Registration in ZO: 27.05.2025 at 07.00. Call at the checkpoint: 28.05.2025 at 08.00. Passing the RB and the bridge - 09.50. Entry to the RP without X-ray at 12.30. Total: 29 hours and 30 minutes".

"Drove to the border in Brest at 09.10, left the border to Poland at 14.45, Poles work slowly, channel 2 is slow".

"Exit to RP. All rows are equally fast. Drop off from 6 and 7 [channels] to pit and x-ray. Behind the pit 2 white cars."

"Channel 2 flies into RP, border guard - female, customs - pan, generally running, goes straight out to start, inspection 5 seconds, in the window quickly. 6 and 7 [channels] are going tight."

In the afternoon of May 28, traffic on the border was stalled because of a minivan, which was not allowed into Poland, and refused to return to Belarus. Users of border chat rooms assume that the minivan is carrying migrants:

"About 40 minutes ago, a minivan was turned around on the side of the Republic of Poland, it seems, with migrants. And now this minivan is standing on the bridge and not moving. They won't let them into RP, they won't go into RB. They are standing on the lane that is towards the RP."

There are also small queues at the exit from Poland to Brest. Travelers note that Poles check them quickly. And further on they get stuck at the border because of Belarusians who do not let them into the checkpoint "Brest". At the checkpoint itself, there are long checks and queues for X-rays:

"Poles have 6-7 cars on the green ones towards the house, the red ones are full".

"It took about an hour and a half to leave the Polish border without traffic".

"At 21.23 [May 27] we got in line, 1,300 meters to the checkpoint "Terespol", at 04.40 we entered the yard of the Poles. At 06.40 we left the Poles. We passed the control quickly, absorbent cotton was beaten off in less than a minute. We stood on the Christmas tree for more than an hour."

"Entered the Polish yard at 10.20 [May 28]. It was all packed inside, the Christmas tree full. Knocked off the absorbent cotton. Left ours on the green at 15.40. Superficially without x-ray. The time is Polish."

How many hours pass the border by bus on May 28

Even in the afternoon of May 26 at the exit from Brest to Poland, 45 buses stood in line. Gradually, the queue decreased, and on the morning of May 28, there were only 3 buses in it. But in the afternoon, the queue began to grow again. According to the CPC at 18.00, there were 21 buses in it.

Belarusians, who crossed the border from May 27 to 28, did not complain about Poles:

"RB - RP, 27.05. 16.40 from Minsk, at 20.30 arrived at the border, immediately offered to move to a bus closer to the barrier. At 22.00 we came to ours, at 03.40 we left for the Republic of Poland, 5 hours and 40 minutes only the border.

"Bus Gomel - Poznan, 27.05. At 21.00 we arrived at the Belarusian border (there were 17 in the queue). At 5 am passed the Belarusian border. At 06.50 we leave Poles.

"RB - RP. Yesterday at 22.30 left Baranovichi. At about 1 a.m. [May 28] we were at the border, there were about 10 buses in front of us, I didn't count exactly. At 5 a.m. we passed passport RB. Now it's 10.55, we are standing at the exit from the Republic of Belarus, it's already 6 o'clock, and probably the third, as we are the first to leave. They don't let us out. They let a lot of cars through. We entered RP at 2.30 pm."

"Two buses stood for an hour in front of the barrier, from 9 to 10 am [May 28]. The buses were half-empty".

"RB - RP, half an hour ago we arrived at the border, the queue was 11 buses before the barrier, 3-4 buses started in half an hour. From our bus no one even started to change buses. Let's see how it will be further."

"Why do they keep buses on the RB side? Is it a full yard there or, as usual, "some problems" of Poles?"

Those who return to Belarus from Poland, write in chats that Poles check them quickly, but Belarusians - slowly. The time increases if there are people in the bus, who are taken away for "conversations" with border guards:

At 01.20 departure from Warsaw by bus. Further the time is Belarusian. At 07.15 passed Polish control. At 09.50 Belarusian control started. Several people were invited for a "conversation". Things were checked through the scanner. At 11.25 we left for Minsk.

"RP - RB. The whole border took 6 hours, of which 5 hours were taken by the Belarusians".
