Negotiations on the territory of Belarus are impossible.

The most realistic venues for the next round of talks between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations are Turkey, the Vatican and Switzerland, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said while speaking to journalists on Wednesday, May 28, "Interfax-Ukraine".

He said that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will hold a meeting with Russian representatives, after which Zelensky will meet with the Turkish Foreign Minister in a few days.

"The Turkish side knows that we are discussing the issue of several sites. And that we have done preparatory work on the Vatican and Switzerland," Zelensky said.

The president said that the negotiations in the Vatican are supported by everyone except the aggressor country Russia. Switzerland also offered a place for negotiations, but there are no signals from the Russians in this regard.

Africa and Malta also offered their sites. At the same time, Russia has signaled the talks in Belarus. Ukraine is opposed to this.

"Belarus for us today is the country from which the missiles flew, and accordingly it is an ally of the country that attacked us. And troops came in from Belarus. This is simply impossible with regard to Belarus," the Ukrainian president said.

Lukashenko has several times suggested Belarus as a platform for talks between Ukraine and Russia.
