Trump: Putin Has Completely Lost His Mind

The US president has allowed new sanctions against Russia.

U.S. President Donald Trump has commented on Russia's large-scale strikes on Ukraine, saying he "doesn't like" the actions of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

In a post on social media site Truth Social, he said he had a very good relationship with Putin, but "something happened to him."

"He's completely out of his mind! He's needlessly killing a lot of people, and I'm not just talking about soldiers. Missiles and drones are being launched at cities in Ukraine for no reason," Trump wrote, commenting on the latest massive shelling of Ukraine.

The US president also said he is "absolutely" considering imposing sanctions against Russia.

Since the evening of May 24 and the night of May 25, Russian forces have launched a combined strike on Ukraine using 367 means of air attack, including nine Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, Kh-101, Kalibr, Kh-22 cruise missiles, Kh-59/69 guided aircraft missiles, as well as 298 Shahed strike UAVs and imitation drones.

The massive Russian attack killed 12 people, including three children.
