Ukrainian Drones Hit Russian Energia Plant Again

  • 24.05.2025, 9:04

Second raid in two days.

In the Lipetsk region of Russia there were powerful explosions on the night of May 24. Local residents said that drones attacked the Energia plant in Elets. This was reported by a number of Russian media outlets.

Information about a "massive attack" by UAVs was also confirmed by local authorities. The region's governor Igor Artamonov said that the "drone drop" was recorded in the industrial zone of Elets, but citizens in social networks write about the attack on the factory. Operational services are working on the site, and locals have spotted helicopters in the sky above the city.

The plant in question is Energia, which is a major manufacturer of chemical current sources. The enterprise produces batteries for planning and correction modules mounted on aircraft bombs, Iskander-M complexes, cruise missiles and other weapons.

The attack on the plant was the second in the past few days. Before that, Ukrainian defenders struck the plant, resulting in a large-scale fire there.

Then, the AFU General Staff said that stopping this production could seriously complicate the Russian army's technical ability to plan missile attacks and operate high-precision weapons.
