Elizabeth is studying public policy in a two-year master's program.
The American government has taken away the right of the prestigious Harvard University to admit foreign students. Among those affected by the decision is 23-year-old Princess Elizabeth, the future queen of Belgium, writes The Guardian.
"Princess Elisabeth has just completed her first year in office. The impact of [the Trump administration's] decision will only become clearer in the coming days/weeks. We are now investigating the situation," said Belgian royal palace spokeswoman Laura Vandoorne.
It is known that Elizabeth is studying public policy at Harvard in a two-year master's program that, according to the university's website, broadens students' horizons and improves their skills for "a successful career in public service."
The princess is the eldest of the four children of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, so under Belgian law she is the first in line to the Belgian throne. Before enrolling at Harvard, she earned a degree in history and political science from Oxford University.
But it is far from certain that the Princess of Belgium and other foreigners will have to forget about the prestigious Harvard degree.
