More Than 400 Drones Attacked Moscow And The European Part Of Russia

Russian Federation was attacked by more than 400 drones for two days, residents of European regions complained of explosions and lack of internet. Moscow closed airports and announced a plan "Cover" for the time of the drone hunt, writes "Focus".
The drone attack on the Russian Federation and the consequences of air defense facilities was written by the Russian media outlet Baza in its Telegram channel. The results of the raid, which lasted 24 hours, were reported by the Russian Defense Ministry.
Russian media have been informing about the raid since the evening of May 21. For example, as early as 9:40 p.m., the channel reported the shooting down of a UAV over Ryazan. At the same time, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported the neutralization of nine drones that flew at the Russian capital and threatened Domodedovo airport. A few hours later there was a report about the appearance of drones in Tula: this was announced by the local governor. There was also a photo of a fire and reported about the plan "Cover" and the closure of airports around Moscow: "Domodedovo", "Zhukovsky" and "Vnukovo".
A few hours later, Sobyanin reported the shooting down of 16 more UAVs. It was also loud in the town of Novomoskovsk in the Tula region, with Russians posting videos showing the sound of a UAV's engine and explosions. Tentatively, social networks counted 19 explosions.
Drone attack on Russian Federation - details
The Russian Defense Ministry in Telegram informed about the drone attack that began in the evening of May 20 and lasted until the morning of May 22. The ministry published seven descriptions with the results of the work of air defense means. For a day and a half over the Russian Federation shot down 344 drones. Of these, 267 - from 20 hours on May 20 to 20 hours on May 21, 77 - until 0:00 on May 22. After that, from 0:00 to 5:30 on May 22, the Russians counted another 105 UAVs. In total, within, conventionally, 48 hours, Russian areas were attacked by 449 drones.
The European regions of the Russian Federation were hit by UAVs, according to Defense Ministry reports:
Kursk;
Belgorod;
Moscow;
Orlovsk;
Kaluga;
Ryazan;
Tula;
Vladimir;
Voronezh;
Lipetsk.
It was also loud in occupied Crimea and over the waters of the Black Sea, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
The Ukrainian command has not yet commented on the events in Russia. There is also no information on which strategic targets were likely hit during the raid, which lasted from May 20 to 22.
