Among the advantages are autonomy and mobility.

A new Ukrainian-designed mobile flamethrower strike system called KRAMPUS has been officially codified by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry and allowed for use in AFU units. The decision was reported by the Main Department of Support of the Life Cycle of Weapons and Military Equipment.

They specified that KRAMPUS is characterized by compact size, high mobility and adaptability to different landscapes. Its design allows the complex to be transported in the back of a pickup truck, van or on a trailer. This ground robotic complex is designed to perform assault and defensive missions in complex combat environments.

The platform is equipped with two silent electric motors and a tracked chassis, which ensures high cross-country capability in difficult terrain, particularly in forests, swamps, sand or steep slopes. The complex has secure communication channels and works stably under various weather conditions: in cold, heat, rain or snow. Battery capacity is enough for several hours of continuous movement, which allows to be on duty for a long time.

The KRAMPUS is also equipped with a video surveillance system and a combat module with RPV-16 reactive infantry flamethrowers. These weapons are capable of effectively destroying enemy manpower and lightly armored vehicles.

According to the Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine has codified and allowed more than 80 ground-based robotic systems, most of which are created by Ukrainian developers. In 2023, about ten such systems were approved, in 2024 - more than 50, and since the beginning of 2025 - already more than two dozen.
