Military Expert: The Russian Army Has Two Huge Problems

The intensification of Russian terrorist attacks on civilians is not accidental - the Kremlin is trying to press Ukraine to sign a surrender, but there are no prerequisites for this on the front. The Russians have fallen on deaf ears in the defense of Ukrainian defenders. This was told today, May 18, on air of the TV channel FREEDOM by former platoon commander of the "Aidar" battalion Yevgeniy Dikiy.
"The intensification of terrorist attacks of the Russian Federation on civilians is not accidental. What happened in Sumy region is, of course, beyond any limits at all. The drone operator simply could not fail to see that it was a civilian bus that he was hitting. The person made such a decision absolutely consciously. And this decision is absolutely in the manner in which the Russian leadership of the country is acting now", - said Dikiy.
According to him, this is happening against the background of slightly different events.
"We have some events on the front, and meanwhile in Istanbul, in the international arena - completely different. But these things are directly interconnected. They are trying to press Ukraine to sign the so-called peace, which in fact is not a peace, but a surrender. And, in fact, it is a preamble to Russia's final victory and the final occupation of all of Ukraine. They are trying to force us to sign these agreements, taking advantage of the fact that, unfortunately, we are now being squeezed from two sides, not just one. That is, not only the Kremlin, but also the White House. They make essentially the same demands to Kiev, arguing the stalemate situation on the front," said the former platoon commander of the Aidar battalion.
At the same time, he noted that there are no prerequisites for this on the front.
"Nothing is happening on the front that would make sense for Ukraine to try to bargain for some terms of surrender, to sign a very bad peace with the fact that otherwise it will be even worse. On the front, everything is exactly the opposite. On the front, the Russian army is already absolutely stalled in the Ukrainian defense. It has stumbled into a really very well built and very tough Ukrainian defense. This war has given rise to many new words. Including such a word as "kill zone", i.e. death zone. It has already hardened along the entire front line. And we are now working to gradually expand it. Now it is 5-7 kilometers, up to 10 kilometers," said the guest.
In addition, according to him, the Russian army is experiencing huge problems with material resources and with replenishment of its personnel.
"Moreover, the problem with material resources is extremely acute now - they did not move to donkeys for nothing. Not because they want historical reconstruction, but because they are really running out of transport and armor. As for human resources, they are not running out of people yet. But the problem with replenishment is already enormous. That is, this army is gradually being worn down by our defenses. It is gradually running out of steam. And in this situation, the Russians need to somehow squeeze Ukraine before their failure at the front becomes absolutely obvious, they need to squeeze us so that we sign these terms of surrender in Istanbul. Since the army is powerless at the front, "let's look for a weak link". And they are trying to find this weak link in the form of you and me, in the form of the Ukrainian rear, in the form of the civilian population," summarized Yevhen Dikiy.
