Illegals attack Polish border guards.

More than half a thousand foreigners have tried to enter Poland illegally from Belarus since last Friday, Polish border guards say, one of the highest numbers in recent weeks.

This is reported by RMF FM.

The most attempts to cross the border were on Sunday and Saturday: more than 220 people tried to enter Poland from Belarus on each of those days.

Ilegals stormed the Polish border almost along its entire length in the Podlaskie Voivodeship.

In two cases, Polish law enforcers prevented groups of several dozen people from breaking through. The migrants were very aggressive, throwing stones and branches, and in the vicinity of Bialowieza they broke the windows of police cars.

Mostly citizens of Afghanistan, Pakistan and several African countries tried to cross the border.

Since the beginning of May, Poland has recorded more than 1,900 attempts to illegally cross the border from Belarus.
