Zelensky Reacts To Barbaric Russian Federation Strike On Bus In Sumy Region

The world must increase pressure on Russia.

The Russian army killed a family: a father, a mother and their daughter during a strike on an evacuation bus in the Sumy region.

He said that seven people injured after a Russian drone hit the bus are now in hospitals. People have burns, fractures, contusions. All are receiving the necessary help.

He also reminded that nine dead are already known.

"According to preliminary information, the Russians killed a family: father, mother and daughter died from the impact. My condolences to the family and friends. All the dead were civilians. And the Russians could not fail to realize what kind of vehicle was being hit. It was a deliberate killing of civilians," Zelensky wrote.

The President of Ukraine recalled that yesterday, during negotiations in Istanbul, the Russians had the opportunity to cease fire.

"Ukraine has long offered this - a complete and unconditional ceasefire in order to save lives. Russia retains only the possibility for itself to kill further," Zelensky said.

He believes that the world should put pressure on Russia to make the killing stop. For this purpose, it is necessary to strengthen sanctions.

"Yesterday in Istanbul, everyone saw a weak and unprepared Russian delegation without substantial powers. That has to change. We need real steps to end the war. We expect from the United States, Europe and all our partners strong sanctions against Russia," - wrote Zelensky.
