Wagner PMC commanders have accused the appointee of betrayal.
On September 29, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Deputy Defence Minister Yunus-Bek Yevkurov and former commander of the Wagner PMC Andrey Troshev. A video of the meeting was published on the Kremlin website, Meduza reported.
"At the last meeting, we talked about your involvement in the creation of volunteer units that can carry out various combat tasks, first of all, of course, in the special military operation zone. You yourself have fought in such a unit for more than a year," Putin said, addressing Troshev.
The Shot telegram channel, citing sources, writes that Andrey Troshev will supervise communication between volunteer formations and the Ministry of Defence.
Andrey Troshev is the former chief of staff of the Wagner PMC. He was present at the meeting of Vladimir Putin with the commanders of the group after the mutiny of Yevgeny Prigozhin in June. Now Troshev works in the structures of the Ministry of Defence. Commanders of the Wagner PMC accused the former colleague of betrayal.
